The Evil Side of the Society: "Thappad"

Thappad movie was made in 2020 about the social problems that many women face It says a lot about our society that it took us until 2020 to speak it clearly audible in a movie: if you're an'adarsh bahu,' as Amrita (Pannu) is, it's your job to check your elderly mother-in-(Azmi) law's sugar levels, oversee the house, guide your man (Gulati) to the vehicle, and hand over his wallet and packed lunch, as he busily moves off to earn Every single day, all without hesitation, all with a grin and excellent humor.

One of most powerful scenes in the movie are those in which we see how women are frequently reminded how to behave, how and where to control their emotions, or how not to give in to them. It isn't just Amrita who has to deal with'sirf ke thappad hi toh tha,' as well as how Vikram (the husband) smacks her when he's frustrated at job.

The movie also looks at other females in Amrita's life, including how her lawyer (Sarao), mom, and family have handled of their own setbacks, and how the housekeeper (Ohlyan), who is regularly abused by her alcoholic husband, has learned to live with it.

This movie is worth a watch and eye opener for the society.
