An Unheard Voice

An art that has been created by Naoko Yamada, entitled A Silent Voice, as a whole, this film actually brings us along in a journey of someone who are, facing redemption due to him being the school bully, living post bully. In this movie, there are a few main protagonists that got involved, which are, Shoko Nishimiya, Shoya Ishida, Shimada, Naoha Ueno, Miki Kawai and Nagatsuka.

The movie starts off with a scene of Shoya Ishida, ticking his calendar day-by-day, as if like he is waiting for an important day. He works at the Convenience Store, went to high school and repeat the same routine every single day. During this first scene, the first thing that we can actually grasped about this character is that he seems like a loner, and hates to socialize kind of person, which of course, won't seem like a big of a deal since people like that do exist. However, suddenly, there is a scene that shows after "the day" has finally come in Shoya's calendar, he left a thick envelope besides his sleeping mother, and creeped out from his house. It is revealed that Shoya is actually trying to attempt suicide, which this scene actually did gives me goosebumps since I don't know why is this happening. It feels like the film's plot escalated real quick! Starting from that scene, you slowly start to know about Shoya's past, that may leave you feeling shocked, full of questions, and disappointment.

I think this anime suits those whose age starts from teenagers and above. I don't think that I would recommend little kids watching this film as there are a suicidal attempt scene is involved. Some parents might find the scene to be disturbing for their young ones to watch, as young kids might learn an unintended behavior, since they are still kids.

I personally learned so many things about this movie. It definitely leaves me having a tearing out moment where certain scenes that has been made in this film are very deep. It feels like we can immediately put ourselves in their shoes, and feels what they feel. We can actually learn to understand what does it feels like to be someone who is trying to do good in life after all of the bad things that we did in the past, but still feels like the society hate and did not accept us. I 100% vouched that this film is different from any other anime movies that I have watched before. Their storyline is very authentic that it might leave u speechless.

What would I rate this form of art? 9.8/10 NESTED! What do you guys think? Is this film, A Silent Voice, worth to watch? Share your thoughts with us, ReviewNesters!
