The Malaysian are brought a surprise with a very ''Hollywood-ish" kind of movie when Polis Evo dropped by Astro Shaw. If you are thinking of Rush Hour then, this is the buddy cop movie you are looking for. The casts are also from big names such as The film casts includes Shaheizy Sam, Zizan Razak, Nora Danish, Hushairi Husain, Mimi Ernida, Harun Salim Bachik, Wan Hanafi Su, Ayie Hushairi Husain, Pablo Amirul, Azliyuszaini and Amerul Affendy.
Police Evo tells the story of a group of police assigned to investigate drug cases in Terengganu. Inspector Sani (Zizan Razak) is responsible for solving the drug case. It all started when one of the drug dealers was found dead as a result of being murdered.
The best part of this movie is the synergy or chemistry from Inspector Sani (Zizan Razak) and Inspector Khai (Shaheizy Sam) build up from scratch as the movie goes on. The dynamic duo fought through the movie in style and did not leave the humor behind which is a great comedic addition all the way to the end.
The shortcomings of the Police Evo movie are a lot of illogical things. The hero does not die, let alone hundreds, thousands of bullets aimed at the hero. So many shots were aimed at Inspector Sani, the character played by Zizan Razak. Not one hit. This begs the question, do they use immunity? However, this increases the suspense and uniqueness of this film
The could have done this better if they give more time and research the Hollywood kind of movies to increase the quality. 6/10 for me.
